“IoT is only going to increase the velocity of the problems and make them harder to manage, prepare and be proactive. IoT simply increases the organization’s number of asset, alerts, and threat vectors, all of which requiring active assessment, evaluation, and mitigation. Its like a loud speaker that amplifies existing issues …”.

The purpose of the Emerging Technology Tiger team is to review emerging technologies, including current and planned projects, use/business cases to determine impact to NIEM Program or domains/members/stakeholders and alignment activity required.

NIEM Program Office Announces NBAC Leadership Change and appoints A4SAFE’s Kamran Atri as the new NBAC Co-Chair https://a4safe.com/niem-nbac-leadership/ Mon, 11 Apr 2016 08:04:00 +0000 http://wpdemo.archiwp.com/onum/?p=10 Oct 2016: The National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Program Management Office is pleased to announce leadership changes for the NIEM Business Architecture Committee (NBAC), which maintains NIEM’s business architecture and requirements. NIEM is fortunate to welcome another longtime NIEM expert and advocate as NBAC’s new co-chair. Effective with the start of Fiscal Year 2017, Kamran Atri is the committee’s new co-chair, serving alongside Ryan Schultz of DoD Joint Staff J6.

Kamran Atri, is a NIEM enterprise architecture and data management subject matter expert. In his more than 13 years as an active NIEM advocate, Kamran has established a track record of championing and enhancing NIEM. He played an integral role in creating NIEM Cyber Domain, NIEM Biometrics Domain and NIEM Emergency Management Domain, as well as the business practices and operational processes that empower these and many other NIEM Domains. He has helped leverage the NIEM.gov GitHub site for public review of Federal Grants data unified Conceptual Data Model and has been a tireless supporter of NIEM outreach efforts. Kamran will continue to co-chair NIEM’s International Tiger Team, in addition to his NBAC role.
